My name is Anna, and I was a Queen of Peace frosh last year. I’m 15 with so many experiences from high school already under my belt, it’s unbelievable. Even though the moments are passing by so fast, the memories I’ve built are worth every second spent here at Queen of Peace.

Queen of Peace is such a fun place! Being a teenager, I can definitely agree with you that friends are one of the most important parts of high school. I came to Peace with only two other girls from my grammar school. Since they were only in one or two of my classes, I started to freak. Who would I sit with at lunch? Would people like me? Were teachers going to be mean? Wait…who am I going to sit with at lunch again?

If you were to ask any girl who entered Peace, she would say that those feelings disappeared the first five minutes she entered the building. Meeting people is no problem at Peace. My favorite thing is that you can be you, and people will welcome, encourage, and accept you. As a frosh, I was even met with applause when I shared my piano playing talents at the school talent show. The point is that everyone recognizes you as an individual: someone who is believed in and supported every step of the way.

Did you hear? We also have laptops! That means no more writing until your hand feels like it’s about to fall off! Technology is advancing quickly in the U.S., and Peace is up to the challenge of integrating laptops into the daily educational process. Laptops are fabulous in the classroom.

So whether you want to play basketball, run track, spike a volleyball, join the art club, or catch a good read in the book club, you will be recognized at Peace for the person you are. You are loved in this Peace Community. You may start off at Peace as strangers, but you leave as sisters.
